Features

These are cast in high-grade Stainless Steel and offer total protection against corrosion. and ideally suited for fitment to boat trailers. These calipers are also fitted with Phenolic pistons and other stainless steel fittings. The brake pads supplied with these calipers have a stainless steel backing plate. All calipers are sold per each unit.

Benefits of Phenolic Pistons

Phenolic resin pistons are a high strength man made material that has a couple of advantages over stainless steel pistons:

1. Superior corrosion resistance, as they do not react with water and salt
2. Superior heat resistance, as they do not transfer as much heat to the brake fluid

For longevity though, please keep in mind that:

• Acidic brake fluid can damage the piston - Over time brake fluid absorbs moisture, causing it to become acidic and degrade, lowering the boiling point which can compromise the effectiveness of your brake system.
• Piston Boots - If not properly seated, damaged or missing, can cause damage to the piston.

• 2 x Stainless steel backed brake pads
• 2x Mounting Bolts (90mm center to center)

PLEASE NOTE

• These calipers offer a stopping capacity of 1500kg per pair with 225mm diameter rotors and 2000kg with 275mm diameter rotors.
• The Mounting Threads are in the Anchor Plate, NOT the caliper.
